About
We work primarily with showroom partners, supporting their teams and collaborating with designers, architects, and builders who care about craft, clarity, and getting things right. Our role is to connect thoughtful design intent with a carefully selected group of artisan factories and workshops, guiding projects from early conversation through execution with confidence and care.
Craftsmanship. Relationships. Trust.
For more than three decades, Charlie Duncanson has built lasting relationships throughout the luxury architectural and design community by representing artisans whose work reflects exceptional craftsmanship, integrity, and timeless design. At CAD Sales & Consulting, every partner is carefully selected—not because they're the largest, but because they share our commitment to craftsmanship, integrity, and enduring design.
Philosophy + Craft
At its core, this is a relationship business. We treat it that way.
Materials carry history.
Factories carry knowledge.
Projects carry responsibility.
We do not work with mass-produced or digitally reproduced surfaces.
The materials we represent are made by hand—formed, finished, and often painted using traditional methods passed down over generations. Reclaimed materials carry their own history, while reproductions are developed with a focus on historical accuracy and craft, not shortcuts.
The result is material with depth, variation, and a sense of origin—qualities that cannot be replicated through automated processes.
Long-term partnerships with artisan makers across Italy, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

How We Think
Not every material is right for every application. Not every factory is suited to every project. Our role is to listen carefully, ask the right questions early, and help shape decisions that respect both the design vision and the realities of making. We focus on clarity—what will work, what won’t, and why—so projects move forward with confidence.
Good work comes from trust, restraint, and long-term collaboration—not from overselling or rushing decisions.
We work directly, thoughtfully, and often behind the scenes. Relationships with makers are built over years, not transactions. Conversations are straightforward and candid. Details are handled carefully, and commitments are taken seriously.
We keep our practice intentionally small so we can stay close to the work and the people involved. When we engage, it’s because there’s a shared understanding of how we work and what matters.
Based in Los Angeles. Supporting projects internationally.
We’re not for every project—and that’s usually a good sign.
